All doubles after our 1NT opening are penalties Simple Stayman and transfers to the majors - super accept with 4 card major support - bidding 3 of the major if have a weak hand and something else if 4 card support and a good 1NT opening. If we transfer and bid a new suit its natural and game forcing. 2 spades over 1NT is Baron 2NT= any 4333...3c 3d 3h is the lower of 2 4 card suits in any 4432...3s is 5 clubs and 3nt is 5 diamonds...step over 2nt 3c 3d asks for the other suit which you simply bid if available and bid 3nt if the step was your suit. 2NT over 1NT is a transfer to either minor to play...opener bids 3 clubs and passes throughout thereafter Over 1NT 3 of a suit is natural 6+ suit (5 really good ones ?) slam interest. 3NT over 3 of a suit is no support and every thing else is a cue agreeing the shown suit. INT - 4NT is quantative - to use Blackwood we Stayman/Transfer first 2 Clubs is all the strong hands and is a notional game force. Control steps 2D=0/1 controls 2H=2 2S=3 etc...where a king=1 and an ace=2. Immediate 3NT over 2C = 10+ balanced 0/1 controls and 3 of a major over 2C equals 0-2 controls 6+ good suit...i.e. QJ109xx and out is ok. AJ109xx and outside queen is the upper limit. 2 diamonds is 4+/4+ both majors less than an opening hand. Every major suit bid by responder is natural to play. A minor by responder is natural and forcing. 2NT is an enquiry. The responses are... 3c=any garbage... 3d 4/4... 3H longer hearts.. 3S longer spades... 3NT equal lenght 5+/5+.. 4C = 5-5-0-3 and 4D = 5-5-3-0. The auction 2D-2NT-3C-3D...3D now asks for your longer major in your garbage hand 3H says longer hearts 3S says longer spades..3nt says 3 suited and 4C = 5-5-1/0-2/3 and 4D = 5-5-2/3-1/0. 4C over 2D agrees hearts & 4D over 2D agrees spades and shows slam interest. All doubles after intereference are penalties. 2D X XX = clubs and pass = diamonds otherwise bid. 2 of a major is a weak 2 and support to 3 of that major by responder is to play. A new suit or 2NT by responder is natural and forcing. 2NT is an enquiry and we show shortage otherwise we rebid our suit. 2NT is 20-22 and we play Baron Transfers and Minor suit Stayman We play stayman & transfers over our 1NT openings, overcalls, and re-opening NT and strong 2NT over their weak 2 openings 3NT opening is to play - expressed as a good 3 of a minor pre-empt. In third and fourth its more likely to be an optimistic view that you can get 9 tricks before they get 5 All jumps are fit showing limit or slam, or at least gam values. Always 4+ card support over any opening bid. All jumps to game in another suit opposite opener are to play. 2NT to 1 of a suit is 10-12 or 16+ 4 card support balanced, 3nt is 13-15 same Fourth suit is a game force...A raise of fourth suit shows 4 cards in fourth suit In competitive auctions everything is natural...no cue raises...a cue is forcing the primary interest being a stopper for NT's System on if opponents simply double our opening bid, system off if they bid a suit. Negative and responsive doubles up to and including 4 spades. Loose style and fairly free wheeeling. Our style also includes the fact that if they double or bid over our our opening bid, and our natural response is not affected we make our natural bid. All jumps are weak, that are not Ghestem, our Ghestem bids may be weak or strong. Ghestem .. a cue of the opponents 1 of a suit (natural) is highest and lowest of the unbid suits: 5+/5+ any range...2NT over 1 of a suit is 2 lowest unbid suits same...and 3 clubs over 1 of a suit is 2 highest unbid suits same...if the 1 of a suit is diamonds then 3 diamonds is showing the highest unbid and 3 clubs reverts to a weak jump. 3 of a suit over 1 of a suit in an contested/uncontested auction is simply 6-9 with 4+ card support. If the opponenets bid our 2NT is natural and forcing. A 1NT rebid shows 15-18 balanced and doesn't deny higher majors...2 clubs over a 1NT rebid is an enquiry...the responses are to show your lowest feature at the 2 level if 15-16 and at the 3 level if 17-18...a feature is one of 3 things...an undisclosed 4+ card suit , 3 card support for partners suit , a 5+ card minor...after a 2C enquiry 2NT by opener shows 15-16 with 5+ clubs. Roman Key Card Blackwood... 4NT is always RKCB of the agreed suit or the last bid suit...03/14/2 without the queen of trumps/2 with. 5NT after 4NT RKCB says...bid 7C if you see in your hand the reason to do it, otherwise tell me your kings below 6 of the agreed suit (0/1/2). Vs Opponents 1NT - ASPRO Lead natural fourth best , mud , second from four small , top of honour sequences , from interior honour sequences lead 10 from Q109xx... J from KJ10x. Reverse count only and all the time...reverse attitude only in an obvious cash out. 1NT 4D = weak 5-5 both majors 1NT 2C 2D 3H/3S = 4441 singleton other major Weakness takeout over our NT's 1NT X XX = forcing to 2NT 2NT - 4 minor = slam interest 4NT = specific ace ask Asking bids after 1 or 3 suits have been bis a new suit asks, if only 2 suits ahve been bid then a new suit shows.
